Our story
-
Plumb Alley Floral didn’t begin with flowers. It began with a love of gardening, thoughtful design, and the simple moments that bring people together. Growing up in the mountains of Southwest Virginia, the changing seasons and time spent outdoors quietly shaped the way I see beauty, hospitality, and the role flowers play in our lives.
-
Some of my earliest memories were made in my mother’s garden. It was there that I first discovered a love of growing things and an appreciation for the quiet beauty each season brings. Watching the garden change throughout the year taught me to slow down, pay attention, and find inspiration in what nature had to offer.
-
After studying graphic design, I began to notice the same principles I loved in design were present in the garden. Color, texture, balance, and composition became a bridge between the two, eventually leading me from growing flowers to designing with them. Becoming a Master Gardener only deepened that appreciation and inspired the creation of Plumb Alley Floral.
-
The name Plumb Alley comes from the small alley behind my mother’s historic home. From her porch, you could look out over the garden where family gathered, neighbors lingered, and the seasons quietly unfolded. It was a place that welcomed people in, and that spirit of hospitality and connection still shapes everything we create today.

Plumb Alley Floral brings together a lifelong love of gardening, thoughtful design, and the changing seasons. We work with blooms from our garden, local flower farmers, and gathered materials to create arrangements that feel personal, natural, and true to the people and places they’re meant for. Every project is an opportunity to create something that feels natural, welcoming, and right at home.
